Early Voting Begins Saturday

The Monroe Country Board of Elections has released information about early voting.

General Election season is upon us and the Board of Elections would like to ensure Monroe County voters are informed and prepared.

Early Voting commences Saturday, October 29th. Early voting lasts for 9 days through November 6th.

Any eligible voter in Monroe County may go to any of the 14 Early Voting locations.

  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 9 am – 5 pm

  • Tuesday and Thursday 11 am – 8 pm

Brighton’s early voting location is at SUNY Empire State College - 680 Westfall Rd, Rochester, NY 14620. An ASL Interpreter available on site. Please visit the Board of Elections website for a complete list of early voting locations.

CRITICAL – NEW this year, if a voter applies for an absentee ballot, they can no longer change their mind and decide to vote on the machine. If a voter would like to go to a polling location during Early Voting or their specific site on Election Day, they will only be allowed to vote by Affidavit.

Any voter who would like to check their registration status or Election Day polling site can visit the Monroe County Board of Elections voter app at https://www.monroecounty.gov/etc/voter/
